Meet our customers

"Moving can be stressful but the friendly staff of Newton Fallowell West Bridgford branch were a joy to deal with. After only 2 weeks on the market we returned from holiday, having left them with the keys, to find we had an offer. They handled the negotiations for an agreeable price, recommended a brilliant removal company, conveyancing solicitor, etc. and helped us reach completion with our sanity intact! We would highly recommend them."

Hugh & Marian Crawford – Vendors - North Road, West Bridgford

“Moving house is often hectic and stressful in its own right, never mind the stresses associated with sale and purchase. It is often said that agents don't do much for their money but I cannot say this is true of Newton Fallowell.  I have moved on 8 occasions nationwide and had my fair share of frustration and disappointment.  However, on this occasion Newton Fallowell of West Bridgford delivered an outstanding service not only in their relentless pursuit of securing a buyer but also negotiating my purchase, often as confidence was tested in a long and complex chain.  They have, from start to finish, handled the process with uncompromising attention, highest duty of care and impeccable professionalism.  I will, without reservation, recommend the outstanding services of Newton Fallowell to anyone contemplating engaging an agent or in a quandary as to which agent to instruct. In my opinion, they are second to none.”

Igaite Thornton – Vendor – Boxley Drive, West Bridgford

“I would just like to place on record my thanks for the superb way in which Sasha Hall represented your company.  Even though you were not acting for me, from negotiation to completion, nothing was too much trouble. I haven't actually communicated directly with the vendor, as there was no need - I was kept in touch with progress every step of the way.  On the rare occasions Sasha wasn't available, the other guys in the team were able to step in and help out too. You have a really good, dedicated team in place at West Bridgford.”

Ian Griffin – Purchaser – Grazingfields, Silverdale

“I must congratulate and thank all the staff at Newton Fallowell West Bridgford for their excellent service. They kept me updated throughout the sale, were helpful, patient, realistic and struck exactly the right balance between always professional but friendly.  A special mention for Sasha for his unrelenting enthusiasm and tenacity. I would happily use Newton Fallowell again.”

Wendy Clubley – Vendor – Mundella Road, the Meadows, Nottingham

West Bridgford area guide

Home to former Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer, Kenneth Clarke, West Bridgford is a vibrant, prosperous suburb of Nottingham to the south of the River Trent and Nottingham City Centre.  The area has even been named by Channel 4's Location, Location, Location as one of the top 15 most desirable places to live in the U.K.

Transport links

West Bridgford offers great access to Nottingham City centre and this will only improve further with the introduction of the tram route at Wilford.  Access to the M1 is via the A52 and A453 which is currently being widened to improve traffic flow to the motorway.  Leicester is also within easy reach via the A46, which has recently been widened along its whole route.

Nottingham train station offers direct routes to London, Sheffield and Manchester, amongst others, and East Midlands Airport is approximately 30 minutes drive away.

Lifestyle

The local schools are all highly regarded and have a great reputation for academic and sporting success.  The area also has access to some of the best private schools in the region.  There are several parks within West Bridgford to cater for children of all ages.

With such a variety of local sports to watch, there are some great bars and restaurants conveniently located along Central Avenue and Bridgford Road.  Along these roads you will find Belle and Jerome, Copper, Mud Crab, Fire and Ice, Escabeche, Monkey Tree and Pearl, to name but a few, each offering something different to the other.  For coffee lovers, there are several local coffee shops as well as Costa and Caffe Nero.  There is a farmers' market that takes place twice a month on Central Avenue offering local, seasonal produce as well as conveniently located supermarkets including a Marks and Spencer’s food store.

Sporting Heritage

West Bridgford is home to some of the major sporting attractions in the region - within just a few hundred yards of each other are Trent Bridge, the third oldest Test Match ground in the world, and the City Ground which is home to two-times European Cup winners, Nottingham Forest.

Although not quite in West Bridgford, Notts County play their football 200 yards away from the City ground directly across the River Trent which makes these the closest football stadia in the country.

Head through West Bridgford and you’ll find the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont, which boasts an impressive white water rafting course and regatta lake.  Holme Pierrepont also offers great facilities for a family day out, with nature trails that are perfect for a stroll or a cycle.
