What a busy year, where has 2018 gone?! Quite often we speak to sellers who are looking to market their property in the new year, they want to get Christmas out of the way, have family and friends staying over during the festive period and don't want to have the inconvenience of people wanting to view their house. This is all understandable isn't it, I wouldn't want to have to worry about keeping my house 'viewing ready' over Christmas either.
However, if you look at the graph below, which our friends at Rightmove have kindly supplied us with for 2017, the online views rose significantly on Boxing Day, and again on New Years Day. This is because people have had time with the family, and are starting to make plans for the new year ahead.
So what does this mean for sellers? When we meet a new homeowner, we are already thinking of which of our buyers to speak to, how to show the house off on social media, and giving snippets of information to spark interest early. By getting your property ready to launch in January, we can start speaking to potential buyers in December, so when your property goes live we can take advantage of the new year rush and start booking viewings immediately. If we start planning in December, you could be launched, sold and moving into your new home by Spring!
