LSA Annual Exhibition 2019
This annual exhibition is a chance for the members to show some of their newest work to audiences in Leicester and it is one of the highlights of the arts calendar when you can see, and buy, exciting work by many of the finest professional artists in Leicestershire and Rutland.
Christmas Wheel of Light
After popular demand, Leicester’s Wheel of Light arrives back in Jubilee Square.Each ride lasts for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, in which you'll rise to a dizzying 110 feet! The wheel offers unparalleled views around Jubilee Square and beyond, and you can even catch a sneak peek of all the twirling skaters in the nearby ice rink.
Christmas Lights Switch-On
The city's streets will be illuminated with over 16,000 sparkling lights and a spectacular tree, with 2,000 lights and 900 baubles, will take centre stage at the Clock Tower. Family, friends, and loved ones once again flock to the city centre to gather at Humberstone Gate for the official lights switch-on and a fantastic programme of stage entertainment from 5pm onwards, with live music and entertainment.
Guildhall Christmas Craft Fair
This popular event gives you the chance to enjoy the atmosphere of the medieval hall and select some amazing goodies from a wide range of art and craft stalls. Its a wonderful chance to support not only your local heritage, but local creatives as well! There will be arts and crafts for the kids to do and food available throughout the weekend.
