Newton Fallowell branches out by planting 5000 trees

To celebrate a record year of sales in 2020 Newton Fallowell has made good on its promise to plant 5000 young trees to help combat climate change – and committed to a further 6000 by the end of 2021!

Newton Fallowell MD, David Spackman says: “Last March we announced the launch of our Branching Out campaign, in which we would help to combat climate change by committing to the planting of one young tree for every ‘sold board’ that was ‘planted’ into the ground throughout the year.

“Despite all the challenges of 2020, our offices did exceptionally well, helping record numbers of people to sell properties and move into their dream homes. As a result, we have planted 5000 trees in conjunction with Epic 3; a community interest company that was set up to help fight climate change.

“We think that the planting of trees is a perfect way for us to contribute to this valuable cause, as Mark Newton, who is Newton Fallowell’s founder and Chairman, has ancestral links to the scientist Isaac Newton. Isaac famously discovered the laws of gravity after observing an apple falling from a tree in the orchard of his Lincolnshire home. We know that trees have been proven to contribute enormously in tackling the climate crisis, and we are delighted to help provide a lasting legacy with thousands of new saplings that will make a real difference to our world.

“Newton Fallowell agents across the network are currently seeing a great deal of pent up demand for residential sales and we are confident that this year will be even better and that is why we have committed to a further 6000 trees in 2021.”
